Your host

A native Crikvenician, Villa Hart has been in her family for two generations. After spending many years in Canada, she reignited the family business. She has welcomed repeat guests for over a decade. Visitors that frequented as children continue to visit, now as parents themselves. She loves tending to the lush gardens and sharing local knowledge and recommendations. You will often find her watering her garden in the morning hours.

Steps to the beach

Villa Hart in the heart of it all

A easy stroll through the private gardens lead to a Blue flag status beach – crystal clear waters, perfect for swimming, snorkelling, stand-up paddling and sailing. We are situated along a 3.5 km seawall that’s perfect for biking, rollerblading, jogging and leisure walks.

Situated on the beach is a lovely Cafe, where it’s easy to become a regular. Unfurl your towel for a day in the sun or rent loungers, cabanas, pedal boats or jet skis. Enjoy a kids playground and outdoor volleyball. The Garden Cafe offers sandwiches, pastries, coffee, fresh juices, cocktails and, of course, ice cream.

Walking South along the seawall leads to nearby Selce, yet another charming fishing port with many cafes, restaurants, bakeries and excursion options.

Explore Crikvenica

Villa hart, a 10 minute walk to center of town

Here you can find more shops, open-air markets, with local cheeses, flowers and honey, cafes, restaurants, artisanal bakeries, pharmacies, disco, pubs and abundance of ice cream shops. Meander the length of Crikvenica’s tree lined promenade to discover several sandy beaches and all manner of seaside dining options.

In the late 19th century Crikvenica was established as a health and wellness resort due to its temperate climate, and in 1906 was given official status as such. The harbour was built in 1877 and the bathing beach followed in 1888. It remains popular because of its picturesque riviera and easy transport connections. The city of Rijeka is 36 km northwest of Crikvenica and is great for a day trip – for a dose of high street shopping and urban energy.

The Kvarner Riviera

A wellness destination since 1844

The Kvarner Region is nestled between the Istrian Peninsula to the North and Dalmatia to the South. It shares many of the qualities of its neighbours; pristine (Blue Flag) beaches, quaint stone-walled fishing villages, fresh seafood, lush cliffs and gardens. The region encompasses a portion of Croatia’s mainland, and many of the stunning Adriatic islands - some of the best kept secrets in Croatia. With culinary roots dating back to ancient times, you’ll find traditional coastal dishes, fresh caught seafood and true Mediterranean cuisine.

Tour boats are available for excursions to the Island of Krk and its many picturesque towns.
